Hii everyone!! My name is Alyssa Rivers, and I am a recent graduate of Kean University, holding a bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Psychology. For me, writing has always coexisted with philosophy and psychology. I hope that in my works, you'll not only witness its integration but also recognize what you can discover about yourself.
Like everyone else during quarantine, I picked up a hobby; or rather, I rediscovered a passion that remained dormant for a very long time. I navigated a time of great disaster and uncertainty through poetry and literature, and I haven't stopped since. Studying writing in college, of all forms and genres, has completely changed the way I view the world around me. Reading is an experience uniquely shaped by the reader, writing gives voice to what often goes unspoken, and published work makes us immortal.
May you fall in love with language and all it has to offer, written or otherwise, as a girl falls for a boy at 19. (Yes, the 19 dilemma is real).
