“Heavenly bodies” is a published poem of mine playing into the inherent sinful nature we’re born with, inevitably wanting more from the Garden.
Peaches are ripe,
Summers at full peak,
Split the stars in half,
In them, find what you seek
Strawberries still wish for a kiss,
Even in the off-season,
Softness need be their only reason
Swim down to atlas,
Part the Red Sea,
Go ahead,
Pick the apple off the tree
Heavenly bodies are sinful,
Remember love comes with a fee
